    The CCNA expects you to know how to cofginure the native VLAN. The native VLAN is a special VLAN used for compatibility with devices that do not support VLAN tagging or the 802.1q protocol. Packets that travel across the trunk on the native vlan will therefore not get a VLAN id or tag. I explain this better in my newer tutorials. You will find them in my CCNA 3 playlist. Cheers!
